While on their promo run for their new EP, 'The Beast is G-Unit' G-Unit members: 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and Kidd Kidd sit down with SOHH for a Q&A. During the chat, 50 Cent discussed why the music biz isn't churning out more veteran artists.
'You got guys that aren't seasoned artists. That part of it is going to allow more one-hit wonders into our culture because you haven't been bumped around until you're good enough to make the next big song and the one after.'
'With Tony Yayo saying to know not to fall in love with music, that's a lesson that I learned from Jam Master Jay."
'I would have a hit record playing and he'd say, "Turn that shit off and play your other stuff." Then I'd be like, "What? Why the fuck did you turn my shit off? That was my one!" He was like, "Turn that shit off. You need another one because if that record is what we think it is, we need another one. And while you're in the right mental space, let's move to another song," said G-Unit's mogul 50 Cent.
